The Turkey River:

The Turkey River is a well known recreational river, one of Iowa’s premier destination rivers; it draws thousands of tourists annually to canoe, kayak or tube. Engineering for improved river access, a river “play-area” and/or a riverfront trail in Elkader will further enhance the river’s presence in the corridor and set the stage for a different type of recreation that will appeal to new audiences.
