The communities of Clermont, Elgin and Elkader in Fayette and Clayton Counties are linked by the special, scenic beauty of the Turkey River corridor. Visitors relish in the abundance of wooded hills and rich rolling plains, streams and rivers, diverse wildlife and recreational opportunities. The corridor communities are linked in a common mission to develop and enhance the existing natural resource base of the Turkey River Corridor through the creation of land and water trails infrastructure.

Description: Welcome to the Turkey River Safari – a outdoor scavenger hunt for the entire family!
Fall is a GREAT time to enjoy this adventure that will take you and your family to new and favorite places along the Turkey River Corridor. Safari posts will remain in place until October 31, 2014. Register on our site, after you have registered, a form will be emailed to you, print that form, and take it to any public library in Clayton or Fayette counties to get your FREE Safari kit. You can also register in person at any public library or at the Gilbertson Nature Center or the Osborne Nature Center. Let the adventure BEGIN! REGISTER HERE
